Frequently Asked Questions
How can I get a toy?
Toys are donated to local non-profits. KGW does not distribute to individual families.
Who does the drive benefit?
The KGW Great Toy Drive benefits more than 130 nonprofit organizations throughout Oregon and SW Washington. With their help we are able to serve families in need.
I work for a nonprofit, how can I get toys?
The application period is from June-August, but you can be added to our waitlist in the event that we have extra toys. Please e-mail (calls not recommended) Josh Schreck at JSchreck@kgw.com for an application to submit to be added to the waitlist.
How do I volunteer for the Great Toy Drive?
We have promised our sponsors the opportunity for volunteer shifts this year. The best way to assist is to become a collection partner or donate to the drive!
What kind of toys are you collecting?
We are accepting new, unwrapped toys for children 0-17 years of age. We receive a large amount of stuffed animals, so other types of toys are strongly desired.
Where can I drop off toys?
Any participating iQ Credit Union, the Regence office at 1st and Market (downtown) by December 16 or Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, Toyota dealership, or KGW Studios by December 17. The full list is available on the Where to Donate page.
